Alaska 2015

We spent the summer of 2015 in Canada and Alaska, the fulfillment of a long-time desire to explore the far north. We're now back home in the "outside"... aka the "lower 48", reconnecting with family and trying to absorb the immensity of the trip. We learned a lot, we experienced a lot, and we fell in love with the far north. We've actually had a tough time adjusting to the hub-bub, the congestion, and the speed at which everybody seems to move since we've been back

The following is a general itinerary/history of our trip. If interested in a particular place, note the date and find our posts in the post archive at the bottom of the page.

After a little time passed (for perspective?? or laziness??) I wrote this post as a recap of the trip. It might be the place to start:  Alaska and the Far North: a retrospective

New November 2016:  We've made a 6 minute video compilation of our Alaska and Far North trip. Here's a link to it.     [Link to our Alaska Video]

We took a bunch of photos during this trip.  Organized in albums by day, click on the photos tab above to check them out.
