Kansas, the 34th State

Kansas was the 34th State admitted to the Union. That happened in 1861.

But Kansas is also the 34th State officially explored by our Intrepid Explorers. That happened today.

How's that for a coincidence?

Congratulations on #34! That which many call "flyover country" is our native state. Hope you enjoy your stay! Safe travels.

Here is an IMPORTANT Kansas/Nebraska fact : The longest running UNinterrupted football series is between the Jayhawks and the Huskers.

One other thing worth learning about Kansas is about the history of the mascot : "the Jayhawk". I won't spoil the surprise.

Gumption

Initiative. Resourcefulness. Aggressiveness. However we define it, there seems to be too little of it among teenagers these days.
